Just a quick share! I haven't done much thrifting these days! ;( I am exciting to share these great finds! I found these lovely vintage bulbs at a wonderful tag sale over the summer. This sale had tons of vintage items! I was in my glory!

I found this Christmas tea towel at an estate sale, what fun it is.

I picked these guys up at a thrift store. How precious is the PINK owl planter!? Perfect for my babies nursery! What about this little bluebird plaque. So sweet!

Our beautiful babies!

Snuggled at birth!

Hello!

I'm now blogging as a mommy! I am so unbelievably blessed. I just put my two little ones down for a nap! Whew! Today Ella and James are 6 weeks old! I cannot believe how they are growing. Last nite Ella was cooing with me, I wanted to cry. This morning after feeding James , he gave me the biggest smile! I am so so proud of my precious babies.

 

My little lovebugs wouldn't be here without the love and care from Jess! We couldn't have asked for a better surrogacy journey! Jess delivered at 38 weeks! Yes, 38 weeks with healthy twins!

 

Gavin and I flew out to California a couple days early, before the planned delivery. We had some great times visiting with Jess and her family before delivery.

 

I believe Jess and I were destined to meet! Thanks to Jess I am a now a mommy! ; )

 

Baby Ella 5.12 oz and baby James 7lbs were born November 14, 2012

 

Healthy as can be!

 

I have been a very busy mom! I guess thats why it has taken me 6 weeks to share. Today they are 6 weeks old, holy cow! I love them so much! I love being a mommy!

My twin baby shower!

Hello! I'm so excited these days! My sweet Ella and James are 36 weeks tomorrow! Just unbelievable! Jess went to the doctor yesterday to find they're staying put for now. He did schedule a c section for November 15, which is 38 wks1 day. They were both head down @ week 32, but babies move an now Ella is breach. ;(The nursery is close to completion, just a few odds and ends to finish. Oh, I have more good news last ultrasound about 10 or so days, Ella is weighing 5lbs am James is weighing 5lb3oz! Yeah so proud!

 

I wanted to share some pictures from my beautiful baby shower! My sister Jacey and Aunt Kathy hosted it with the help of my mom and mother in law! What a special day for me, it was great! Family,friends,food and presents for the babies!

Goodwill run!

Hello all!

This is my precious family on our goodwill run! We had a blast! We were actually on vacation at the beach in Milford, CT! Much fun.

I love children's books! Goodwill is one of the best places to find them! My babies are going to have a lovely collection!

20 weeks!

20 weeks! We are half way through our pregnancy! So so blessed and excited! Our babies are 10 inches from head to toe and about 10 1/2 oz. Thanks to babycenter.com! Jess and I had a great conversation last night! Sharing happy news! We are planning to name our baby girl Ella Mae! I love the name Ella! It comes from our mom's names! My moms middle name is ellen and Gavin's moms first name is ellen! I like that! Mae comes from my dear gramma's name! So Ella Mae it is! And for our precious boy, your name is still in the works!

We can't wait to meet our precious little love bugs!

 

BABY NEWS!

We received some amazing news at our anatomical ultrasound. We were unable to be there due to Gavin needing surgery to his right knee due to the good ol' dirt bike. It was an unbelievable evening! Jess planned to call us during the ultrasound as long as it was okay. Waiting for that phone call was like waiting for Christmas morning! So so exciting!

So much Joy and happiness! I actually was screaming and jumping up and down! It was the best feeling! We are so blessed in many many ways!

Golden books, but I actually picked up this one from TJMaxx. It's a golden books collection

of Elloise Wilkins stories! What a score! ;) These are a few of my favorites!

I look forward to sharing these lovely stories and pictures with my little ones pretty soon! We are 17.5 weeks! Thursday is a big day, we should be finding out the sexes! Holy cow, we're almost half way through our pregnancy!

Ulta haul!

Hello!

Really hard to believe were in the middle of june! I'm super excited that were in our second trimester! Were actually 16 weeks! All is well in the baby dept. we have an appt. on wednesday for a 17 week/2nd trimester check up!

Well last week I treated myself to some new cosmetics! FUN! I hadn't been to Ulta before, but its currently my favorite store! My sister and I went for the first time and it was like a kid in the candy store! Wow!

Its awesome, it has about hallf drug store prices and the other half department store prices. There is a tester for everything which is a huge plus. So here is what I bought!

This Laura Geller baked body frosting/ bronzer is awesome,it has a beautiful glow!

I haven't bought myself an expensive perfume in forever! I <3 it!

I have to say the urban decay eye pencils are the best! I bought the color underground (purpley,grayish brown) I love it! I thought it was time for a new shade. So I got mildew! It's metalicy green.

Finally to this great stilla palette I've used the shades kitten and sugar before so why not get it all for $20.

 

Lastly I got this really fun nail polish in blue lagoon! Love the shade, lovely blue with a shimmer! New tube of lipstick for a couple of dollars in Darling!

BIG NEWS!

Well it's been way to long since I've done a post, but I've been busy! We're having twins! We are so excited our family is growing! We couldn't have done it without our surrogate Jessica! We are so blessed! We had our egg retrieval and transfer in early March, we then had 13 days before we got any news. There were many prayers! Towards the end Jess actually shared with us that she felt pregnant! As a mother of 2, we felt so excited! On Monday, March 26th we got a positive pregnancy test! Our beta number was 1521! Which is great, high which gave us hopes for twins! On Wednesday, March 28 our beta number doubled! Yeah! April 10, 6wks6days was ultrasound #1, we found out that we had two sacs, and 1 heartbeat! Our doc said it was still early, we were thrilled and we knew what we had to do! Prayer!

Gavin and I had plans to fly out to California for our 2nd ultrasound! So much to be thankful for! On Saturday April 28, we had 2 amazing heartbeats! The babies our so precious and little just an inch at 9 1/2 weeks. I wanted to jump up and down with joy! What a feeling!

We were so lucky to share the weekend with Jess and her family! Following the appointment we had a lovely lunch and we spent the afternoon at Santa Monica beach and Pier! We planned a day at the LA Zoo for Sunday!

A fun filled amazing weekend!

We are so looking forward to parenthood and a lifetime friend!

Lovely Easter swap!

Look at these goodies! All beautifully wrapped! I absolutely love getting mail especially packages! I was super excited to receive the package, I sat down and opened it slowly enjoying very little bit!

Jessica & Carly

I've been waiting for a bit to share a picture of Jessica and me! Jessica is a good friend of Gavin and I. Jess is also helping us on our journey to parenthood! We couldn't be more blessed! Today is a big day for us the shots begin! Contract have been reviewed, signed and in the doctors hands! So things have begun! We are so excited! This journey began in September 2010! It's really happening now! This picture was taken in January 2011! We are at Santa Monica beach California! The weather was in the 70's and sunny, who could ask for more? Gavin and I left Connecticut in a blizzard to sunny skies in LA!
We are scheduled for egg retrieval March 8, and transfer March 13th! Holy cow!!
