Power outage!

Hello to all!

It's been a crazy couple of days! At first the prediction was a dusting to an inch. We move to 5-10 inches and then to a foot and a half! So we ended up getting about 8-10 inches, and a power outage from saturday night to Monday night! 48 hours, it was weird, I felt like we were camping! We cooked dinner last on our BBQ grill! Gavin did have a generator which helped tremendously! We didn't loose and food and don't laugh but gav hooked it up so we watched movies too! Jon and heather ( bro and girlfriend) came over yesterday and we played monopoly all afternoon! We had lots of fun!
I missed my iPad though for 2 whole days! So sad our other computer has a bug so I haven't been able to put any new pics, ;(

Talk soon, missed blogging!
Good night

What an evening!

Hello

I had a very lousy evening, after work I went to Savers (a huge thrift store in CT) and sally's beauty supply. Yeah, that doesn't sound so bad and that part was great! As I get into my car it wouldn't start! It was awful,no cell, 25 minutes from home and not the best area of town. What do you do? There aren't pay phones around these days. I was very lucky I was able to use the phone in Sally's but no one answers phones these days because everyone screens their calls as I do too. I called my brother Jon and his girlfriend Heather picked up thank goodness. Since Jon actually works across the street from were I was he was able to call and ask a co worker from Pet boys to come and give me a hand! I was saved! So thumbs up to Jon,Heather,Joe and Pet boys!

So let's look at something that makes me smile and I hope you'll smile too!

Vintage linens! ;)
I have been collecting these beautiful vintage spreads, duvets etc. for about 2 years!
They do make  me smile!

I look forward to sharing my finds in a few days as my computer is under the weather!

Smiles,
Carly

A fun day in Great Barrington,Massachusettes!

I really adore vintage images, look at the sweet little happy faces!

Last Saturday my mother in law spent the day in Great Barrington , Massachusetts. We had a such beautiful day! On our drive we stopped at an antique store with a big Tag Sale sign in front! We had to stop! Inside there weren't to many bargains! Prices were High! I did pick up some fabric at a Tag Sale price! We continue on our way to a cute small town with a real Toy Store, not ToysRus or kaybee but a real fun toy store! It was fun! We did some walking, talking and shopping! I bought two adorable greeting cards, I think I'll frame! We had a nice lunch.
To the Antique Mall here we come! Much fun we had, but we were on a tight schedule because we had dinner plans! I'm so happy to share this super vintage wall lamp that works! It's a beauty!

Sorry about the pics, my camera was being fresh!

Cute little town!
