Thrifting for the nursery!

So happy for the warmer weather here in Connecticut! It feels like Spring! I've had my babies out enjoying the weather for the past five day! I've been snapping lots of pics that I'm looking forward to posting very soon!

I wanted to share these lovelies that I've picked up thrifting! I was so lucky to find these Beatrix Potter items at Goodwill!

I found this sweet kitty light plate at a tag sale! Is it the cutest thing?

I also found these lovely baby books! Beatrix Potter unused and this tiny baby girl baby book. It's almost 100 years old! Also unused!

Love sharing vintage finds and looking at other fellow bloggers vintage treasures! Thanks for stopping by and come again!

Twin favorites 3-4 months!

We love books! We starting reading stories to the twins right away! The past month or so they're listening and looking at the pictures! Ella recently began chatting during the stories, I calmly told her when mommy's reading we listen, no talking. She'll get it soon!

Our favorite stories are Goodnight Moon, The Big Red Barn, Beatrix Potter Barnyard Noises, Goodnight Max, There's a Wocket in my Pocket, Mr. Brown Can Moo Can you? and of course Eric Carl's Brown Bear Brown Bear What do you see?

We enjoy getting outside for walks when weather permits. We generally get outside when it's above 35-40 degrees. We have cozy snowsuits and blankets. Adorable hats many handmade that keep us nice and warm! I am so looking forward to spring weather here in Connecticut. Right now we get little spurts of warmth. ;)

At nap time we love our binkies and our soft, vintage blankies. We get a little cuddle and rock before are put in our cribs.

At bed time we are staying cozy and snugly in our Halo sleep wraps and we sleep close together in one crib!

Playtime! During play we enjoy our our little floor gym. We stay busy moving our hands and feet! We also play in our exerciser which keeps us off our backs!

Not always a favorite is tummy time, but mommy has us do it anyhow!

Bath time is always a favorite! We sing -This is the way we was our hair, legs face etc.

We've always enjoyed singing. Twinkle twinkle, Itsy bitsy spider, wheels on the bus and Barney's I love you are a few of our favorites.

We also like to dance! Lately it's been disco music, mommy and daddy dance and clap. Ella and James love it, they smile, laugh and move their little bodies!

I hope I'm not forgetting anything but it is getting late. Always happy to share!

xoxo Carly Thanks for stopping by and I always love your comments!

Twin Nursery

Hello!

I've been wanting to blog for some time now. The extra time just wasn't there. The twin are approaching 3 months! It's so hard to believe. These past few months have been incredible. Busy of course but the feeling of being a mother and all the love we share. I love it!

We have a 2 bedroom home and I'm somewhat of a junk collector. For the past 5 years our second bedroom has been a room for my sewing machine, vintage linen, magazines our computer, you name it it was there! So I have some pictures to share from junk room to our baby room!

At Salvation Army during the pregnancy I found this beautiful vintage armoire. It's on wheels so I new it was old! I bought it and did a little DIY. I sanded it and painted it a lovely shade of aqua. I think it looks great in the nursery! What do you think?

The room is not complete but it's getting there. We enjoy reading, singing, dancing, rocking and just living in this nursery with two beautiful babies.
