Summer thrifting!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by, I love visitors, followers and your lovely comments! I would have to say my favorite hobby would be thrifting! How great is it when you can furnish/ decorate your home for a fraction of the cost or clothe your children! Or yourself! I remember growing up my grandmother saying "waste not want not" or "make it do or do without" she was very frugal! She grew up during the depression, so I understand! One of my favorite childhood memories is tag saling with my mother! I remember really enjoying the time we spent together treasure hunting!

Here are some treasures I'd like to share that I've actually found with my little lovebugs!

How cute is this vintage dustpan and brush!

How about this sweet kitty washing and this little duckling!

Vintage chick measuring cups which need a good delicate washing!

Linens (vintage) are a favorite of mine!
Vintage Christmas Elfs!

How unique is this lil mood barometer?
I did make it to the Brimfield antique and flea market!
Here is my beautiful family!

Thrifting haul for my babies!

Hope everyone's summer is bringing them much joy! We had a busy independence holiday weekend! We took the twins to the seashore for the first time! They absolutely loved it. As we did too, seeing the smiles and curiosity! <3 We also enjoyed family bbq's! Good family fun!

I have had the opportunity to find some treasures for the babies, which has been fun! When I thrift I generally bring them with me. So I guess you could say I'm starting them early! Ella and James enjoy flea markets! We get lots of visitors as we shop the market! We have been to the elephant trunk in New Milford, CT, Stormville flea market in NY,and I think we'll be venturing out to Brimfield, MA for the antique show and flea market weather permitting Saturday!

Here are a few pics I'd like to share!

These were found at thrift stores. Left to right Fun soft blocks, fisher price horse pull toy (1976)and colorful fun foam blocks! All together under $10!

Wooden puzzles were found at the elephant trunk for $5. Vintage rattle $1 at Savers thrift store. Second hand books at Goodwill!

Don't ya just love a bargain! Sweet things for my lil lovebugs! Happy thrifting! I recently started Instagram which I love it's so quick and easy! If anyone wants to check me out I am- Swtvintaglove

Rainy day go to meals!

My copycat creamy spinach and sausage pasta!

Hi all!

I haven't done a post like this in all my blogging! I do enjoy cooking and baking probably most of all in the winter season! Spending more time inside than out its always fun to have some yummy scents going on. I like to cook dinner for my family although some nights it's tough and we may have take out or something super easy like tots and chicken nuggets or soup and grilled cheese.

I wanted to share a few of my favorite go to meals.

These is mini meat loaves which cook in 18 minutes, yes under 20 minutes. The prep is really quick too. I've been making these for a few years but the other night I was lacking mozzerella and tomato sauce so I substituted salsa and Monterey Jack! Hubby loved it!

These amazing one dish meals/ dinners are from Beth @http://www.budgetbytes.com/

I have been following her a little over a year because her dishes are simple, affordable and delish!

Chicken taco bowls

This is a crockpot dinner. It's so easy and so yummy, for a while I'd make it weekly! ;)

The twins are waking up and ready to eat! Everyone please have a great and safe holiday weekend!
